I love going and see Rosy, she's so knowledgeable about what she does. I like how she will talk through everything with you. Very friendly and approachable. Well worth treating yourself. Her quiet little room is ideal. So relaxing and interesting. More people should have treatment.

Thoroughly recommend a visit to Rosy. I've had an amazing massage experience, I felt and was totally relaxed and peaceful, something I haven't felt for sometime. I completely let go and enjoyed a brilliant massage. Lovely space and beautiful oils tailored to your needs. I left feeling calm and pain free, again something I haven't been for some time so a big thank you Rosy.

I found Rosy from the BIAE website because effective and permanent hair removal is very important for people like me who are transitioning from male to female. Knowing that Rosy is a highly skilled practitioner is very important but so is being put at ease and feeling relaxed. Rosy is great at both and I recommend her highly.

I have known Rosy for almost 20 years, I first went to her for Electrolysis for embarrassing facial hair. From the first time I met Rosy she was so kind and friendly, and soon put me at ease. In 1996 I had major back surgery and over the years have had a few back and head massages. They are so relaxing and you just want to stay and fall asleep. I have arthritis in most of my joints and now have reflexology frequently. The sense of well-being I get after each treatment is amazing and my pain level becomes more manageable until the next session. I am now 85 and would like to say thank you Rosy for all the kindness and friendship you have shown me over the years, long may it continue.

Rosy Barker has volunteered in the Southampton Macmillan Centre for several years offering her skills as a complementary therapist in Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage and Reflexology. Patients, their family members and the team appreciate her professional and empathetic manner. Rosy gives people affected by cancer space to catch their breath, relax and de-stress, while giving them feeling of being cared for. She has been trained by our lead therapists in how to adapt her treatments for cancer patients and she brings a wealth of knowledge from the courses she has taken and people she has seen privately.

I've been going to Rosy for Electrolysis since the mid 90's. I'd had some treatment on my upper lip elsewhere before I found Rosy. Her friendly manner and professional expertise inspired confidence and since I started with her I've had my bikini line and underarms treated. I then went on to have my lower legs done and the joy of getting up in the mornings and not having to shave is bliss. No more skin irritation and redness. I have also had massage with Rosy which helped relieve back pain and was very relaxing.

I first went to Rosy in 1996 for Electrolysis. I was disillusioned with trying treatments for my arm hair which were either very temporary or unsatisfactory. Rosy, who had undergone electrolysis herself, gave me every confidence that with regular treatments the hair would permanently disappear. This was amazing news as I was teased at school for having such hairy arms and because of this always covered them up even in summer. I'm pleased to say that after all these years she was true to her word because the hair never grew back. I can't thank her enough because it changed my life giving me the confidence to wear short sleeves and after just two years of treatment I wore a sleeveless dress to my wedding something I would never have thought possible. Rosy is still my therapist today but now for aromatherapy back massage. These treatments are amazing and I come out feeling like a new person with no stress and feel totally relaxed. Each session Rosy takes time to find out how I'm feeling both mentally and physically so she can use the correct aromatherapy oils to get the best out of the session.

Rosy is my therapist for reflexology. I had heard that reflexology could help with menstrual problems and I hadn't had a period for 12 months, so I booked an appointment with a local therapist who massaged my feet which felt wonderful but after 6 months I still hadn't had a period. A friend of a friend recommended Rosy to me. Rosy's treatments were different, not just massaging my feet but working on each pressure point relating to my ovaries and after a couple of months of treatment I had a period, then after a few months of treatment was having a regular period every 4 weeks. I continue now to have treatments because reflexology covers everything in your body and is very relaxing which gives you a real energy boost.

A few years ago I developed rheumatoid arthritis and Rosy treats me for reflexology targeting the areas of my feet to help with my arthritis. At the beginning of each session Rosy takes the time to talk about problem areas to make sure she spends extra time working those points on my feet. The treatment is not only very relaxing but I know it's helping me keep moving and relatively pain free. After a treatment my feet loosen up and I can walk pain free for days afterwards which is great considering normally my feet are very rigid and painful when I walk.

A friend recommended Rosy's Indian head massage to me because I was finding work very stressful and my neck and shoulders were full of tension and wow what an amazing treatment. Rosy starts working on your shoulders to get rid of the tension, then she works through the hair and massages your scalp and finishes with your face. This treatment feels great and is so relaxing that many a time I have drifted off, I only wish I could have this treatment every day.
